Infinedi
Chiropractic-focused clearinghouse with 25+ years in operation — but the technology has not kept up.
Overview
Infinedi has been providing EDI services to healthcare providers since the late 1990s, with a particular focus on chiropractic practices. Over 7,000 chiropractors use Infinedi, making it one of the most common clearinghouses in the chiropractic space. The company is EHNAC-certified and connects to payers nationwide.
The platform handles standard clearinghouse functions: claim submission, eligibility verification, ERA retrieval, and claim status inquiries. Infinedi is a certified trading partner for ChiroTouch, which is how most of its users end up on the platform — it comes pre-configured in the software.
The core problem is that Infinedi has not invested in modernizing its platform. The interface is dated, the claim scrubbing is basic compared to modern clearinghouses, and the reporting tools are minimal. Practices that have switched from Infinedi to Claim.MD or TriZetto consistently report fewer rejections and faster turnaround.
Pros & Cons
Strengths
- Chiropractic expertise. Deep familiarity with chiropractic billing rules and payer requirements after 25+ years serving the chiro market.
- ChiroTouch integration. Pre-configured trading partner in ChiroTouch with official EDI configuration guides. Setup is straightforward.
- EHNAC certified. One of a small number of EHNAC-certified clearinghouses, meeting industry standards for security and reliability.
Weaknesses
- Outdated technology. The platform has not kept pace with modern clearinghouses. The interface, reporting, and workflow tools feel dated.
- Basic claim scrubbing. Claim editing rules are less comprehensive than TriZetto, Waystar, or Stedi. More rejections get through to payers.
- Limited payer network. 1,500+ payers is adequate for common commercial and government plans but significantly smaller than modern alternatives.
- Proprietary submission software. Connect2Infinedi is a proprietary app for claim submission rather than standard web portal or API access.
- No published pricing. Pricing requires a sales call. Lack of transparency makes it difficult to compare costs before committing.
EMR Integrations
Infinedi integrates with many EMR and practice management systems, including:
- ChiroTouch (certified)
- Various chiropractic PM systems via SFTP
